I’ve been skiing for twenty years and not sustained any serious injuries. I imagine that’s rare, and often wonder if that means I’m not skiing aggressive. Well, whatever. I’m thankful, to say the least.

U.S. Alpine Team member Keely Kelleher, who hails from Big Sky, has had six surgeries, broken bones and spent endless hours in physical therapy recovering from bad crashes. Kelleher is the only Montanan on the U.S. alpine ski roster and has her sights set on the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

In a blogpost on NewWest, she discusses crashing and what it takes to snap back into the bindings after.
